60 Minutes on CBS just aired a segment on how face recognition technology has advanced in recent years. They even pointed out that many consumer electronics and mobile devices already have face recognition technology while showing a video of FastAccess Anywhere being used on a tablet!
We're truly honored that they liked our product and video enough to choose FastAccess Anywhere for their segment!
They covered a number of important privacy concerns with other face recognition products that we fully agree with. Here are a couple of things we'd like to clarify and expand upon:
The segment focused on how face recognition can be used to "invade" your privacy and bombard you with targeted marketing. With some face recognition products that’s true. However... FastAccess Anywhere does just the *opposite* - it helps keep your content and devices secure AND private by using your face instead of passwords. You're always in control of the face recognition and, with its strong encryption, it's virtually impossible for anyone else to ever access your face database.
The segment examines how the government is assembling a "master face database." We'd like to point out that every FastAccess Anywhere Cloud Account is it's OWN database with NO access to anyone else's biometric or credential data. Nobody can break into multiple accounts and there's no "master face database" with everybody's face in it. We take your security and privacy very seriously.
